① 光纤数量的代号
用光缆中同类别光纤的实际有效数目的数字表示
② 光纤类别的代号
光纤类别应采用光纤产品的分类代号表示，即用大写A和B分别表示多模光纤和单模光纤，再以数字或小写字母表示不同种类的多模光纤和单模光纤。常用代号如下：
A1a—50/125μm二氧化硅系渐变型多模光纤
A1b—62.5/125μm二氧化硅系渐变型多模光纤
B1.1—非色散位移单模光纤(ITU-T G 652A、B光纤），（B1.1可简写为B1）
B1.3—波长扩展的非色散位移单模光纤
(ITU-T G 652C、D光纤）
B4 — 二氧化硅系非零色散位移单模光纤
(ITU-T G.655光纤)

It is denoted by classified symbol of fiber，namely, capital letter A and B denote multimode fiber and single-mode fiber separately. number or small letter denote different kinds ofmultimode fiber and single-mode fiber. Common symbols are as follows：
